Appointments

Appointments are available at my office in central York, or at your home, workplace or other agreed location. Evening and weekend appointments are regularly available. In some cases, such as authentication of education documents, it’s possible to assist without the need for a face-to-face meeting.

In all cases, the first step is to get in touch – call, email or use the contact page.  It’s always helpful if you provide me with any documents or instructions you’ve been given, from the outset.  This ensures I can provide you with comprehensive guidance on the process needed, and an accurate breakdown of costs.

If you’ve been asked to sign a document in front of a Notary Public, it’s important to note that I can’t advise you on the content or legal implications of the document – that’s something that should be done by your legal adviser in the relevant overseas jurisdiction.  I will meet with you to confirm your identity, go through the document with you to make sure you’ve read it and understand it, and check you’re signing it of your own free will, before you sign it in front of me.  Please take time to thoroughly read any document(s) you’ve been sent, well in advance of our meeting, so that you have opportunity to take appropriate advice if needed.

Sometimes, it might be necessary to liaise further with your overseas contact, to clarify requirements, which again I can help with.
